Today the campers learned how events, methods, functions, and parameters work. We think the campers are picking up the concepts pretty well and are totally impressed! Along with learning about events, we had the campers play "Simon Says" to demonstrate how they work, and they played a "Minefield"-type of game that gave them an idea of how they are going to control objects in Alice.
Later the campers continued with the forensics portion of camp. They learned how to lift fingerprints and they also had the chance to practice lifting fingerprints outside, on doors, and even on Beth's car (Thanks, Beth!). Today Abdullah and Hadi came to teach for the first day of NXT Robotics. The girls seemed to enjoy it a lot, and I also noticed some PREP folks that were interested in what we were doing as well.
Towards the end of the day, the girls learned more about how they will be using Alice by choreographing a dance. In the end, the dance the entire group learned to do was super awesome! :)
And tonight, we are pumped for the Google Scavenger Hunt!!
