Pajama Day!!

Today is Pajama Day!!!!

Today we started off with a peanut butter and jelly activity where each girl had to write the instructions on how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. After they wrote instructions, five instructions were selected to be made in the front of the class. Sasha followed the instructions read by Benita. It was interesting to see how many of the sandwiches didn't make it with anything but bread! This was a great activity because the girls could see how important it is to be specific in coding and why detail matters.

After this activity we started working on app inventor. The girls continued to work on their apps and we are so excited to see their final designs!! They have some great ideas! After app inventor we began learning to program our EV3 robots with Marissa. Marissa did an interactive activity with girls by putting up several pieces of code and asking the girls what they think that piece of code does. The girls are so excited to continue working on their EV3 projects!!! Can't wait for tomorrow!

Don't forget to come to our movie night tonight from 6-8 pm! We are going to have pizza and we will be watching Zootopia! :)

Tomorrow is Disney Day! Feel free to dress up! We will! :)

Good Afternoon, Pajama ladies!!!

The girls started out eating some pasta for lunch, which everyone loved. We then jumped right back into blender- the snake games are coming along nicely and us staffers are excited to see how they turn out!

On a side note, there are some pretty awesome pajamas today.  I saw a ton of pajamas and it's...fantastic!  There were Eeyore and Micky pajamas as well as pajamas that looks super duper comfy.

After our lesson in Blender, we went out for our afternoon activity PicturePhone.  All the girls lined up facing one direction and the girl at the back of the line drew a picture on the back of the girl in front of her.  The picture traveled up the line and gave us some pretty bizarre pictures.  It was a lot of fun as the girls worked together to try to keep the same picture throughout the line.





After the activity, we came back in to work on the EV3 kits.  The projects are really coming along as girls are starting to build their projects from anything to an elephant to a robot that draws.  They're looking awesome ladies!


Don't forget to come to our movie night tonight from 6-8 pm! We are going to have pizza and we will be watching Zootopia! It's gonna be great!:)
