You're a Coder Harry!

What a wonderful day today has been! This morning we got started by playing an awesome Harry Potter mash-up of tag and full-body rock paper scissors. In other words, Trolls, Wizards, and Elves. When the girls got out they went to the side and played Concentration with the lovely Belle until it was time to go in.




After the girls got settled, the girls were introduced to Arduino, which is an open-source platform that uses LEDs and utilizes circuits to create cool projects. This morning was just an introduction though, so the girls started out with just making a light turn on and fade in and out. It was so awesome seeing the girls write out their programs!




Then it was time for lunch! On the menu for today was delicious Mexican food from Chaci's, which included tacos, flautas, beans, rice, and chips with all kinds of sauces. Yum! Most of the girls ate outside, but more girls ate inside than yesterday, so the room wasn't as quiet. After lunch, the girls went inside and got started on their Arduino Lamps. They got to paint the vases that they needed for the lamps.
