It’s Monday again! Let’s do this thing!
Go Aggies, Go!

School pride is what brings everyone in a school together! It’s the feeling of love for your
school and pride that you belong to that school. People have been expressing their pride
in all sorts of different ways for years – going to school games, wearing school colors,
painting their faces, buying school merchandise, volunteering to help clean up their school,
and so much more! Even crazy school rituals or traditions can be a part of school pride,
as long as they bring the school together.

Did you know? There was an entire TV show called “School Pride” devoted to cleaning up
and repairing old or run-down schools. The premise of the show was that the TV crew,
the teachers, and the students of the school would get together with a budget from the show
in order to fix up the school and renovate it. After the show, the crew would check up on
the process of restoration for each school in monthly intervals. Unfortunately, the show only
ran for seven episodes between two months in 2010.

Did you know? NMSU’s marching band is actually called “PRIDE”, specifically, the
“PRIDE of New Mexico”. It has over 200 of some of the best musicians, dancers, and
auxiliaries in the nation! You can audition for over eleven instruments if you are interested
in joining as a musician including the flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet,
horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, and percussion.
