Witty Wednesday!

Coming back inside after the activity!

It's Wednesday! Halfway point! I hope you're ready for a great day! This morning's activity was two truths and a lie. It was interesting to learn more about you guys!
Surprising that you didn't think I lived in Las Cruces for 10 years! -Noor
SP helping Sasha with her LiveCode!

After the activity we came inside to work on LiveCode. Everyone was allowed to work on their own pace. Your games are coming along nicely! You will have open-build time tomorrow to work on your project more!

Jen teaching Ruby Basics
Then we learned a new platform, Ruby, with Jen! She introduced the basics such as setting up the terminal and commenting. She went over variables as well. Afterwards, she helped you start the Infinite Monkey-Theorem project.

After lunch we went to room 118, which is the bigger lab used by the department. You leaned the basic Linux commands with SP. It felt weird not being in room 118b (our home!).
Then you were allowed to work on HTML until Blogging time! Your businesses are coming along nicely! :)
I'm really surprised at the level of creativity you all have! It's awesome!
______________________________________________________________________________ Blog Prompt: If you could travel anywhere and anytime (past, present, or future) where would you go? Why?

Noor- If I could travel anywhere and anytime I would go to Babylonian times. The Babylon dynasty originated from Iraq, that's where I'm from. I want to see what it was like to love there during those times. I've read books and watched movies but it would be amazing to experience it firsthand.

SP- If I could travel anywhere and anytime I would go to to 340 BCE in Greece. I would go there to see Aristotle and Socrates give speeches and teach. I love the different ideas of philosophy that they came up with today and would really like to hear it from the original speakers.
"There is no great genius without a mixture of madness"-Aristotle
"Wisdom begins in wonder"-Socrates

At the end of each day of camp, we encourage our students to fill out a small survey so that we can better craft an amazing camp experience. The survey for today can be found here!
