The first day is the best day!

Welcome to the first day of YWiC's middle school summer camp! We are so excited to have you here! We can't wait to explore the exciting world of Computer Science with you - there's so much to learn, do, and experiment with!



Each day you will visit our blog to find out what will be happening this summer in camp, for tips and tricks for completing your projects, to see pictures and video of camp events, and to take the camp pre- and post-surveys and End-of-Day surveys. Today was an awesome day! We all got to know each other by playing a few games, learned what is Computer Science and the basics of computer programming, and we built our first program in Scratch!


 

It was really hot outside but we were saved by the power of the ice pops!!



It is our goal to make every day of camp better than the last. To help do this, we ask for student feedback at the end of each day of camp about what was awesome and where instruction could be clearer. We want to hear from you! Today's End-of-Day survey can be found here!
