1/4 of the way through! What a great bunch of girls and staff =)
Robotics:
Abdullah and Omar were able to fill up the entire morning with NXT Robotics, a favorite of the girls' up to this point. The plan is to build towards designing their own projects, which they'll be presenting on Thursday along with their forensics. They're struggling a bit with figuring out how to program them, but we'll do everything we can to make sure they understand it!
Forensics:
The girls loved forensics today (for the most part)! They've started looking at blood spatter and will be moving into angle of impacts, groupings, and so on and so forth. Part of the curriculum involved looking at a case where the blood spatter was the main convicting evidence, which was the only time some of them struggled due to the nature of the case. But they're excited to keep going with this!
Python:
There are 15 minutes at the end of each day this week that will be used for Python programming. The students were given a project of writing a number guessing game, which they can work on at the end of each day. A couple of them got it figured out already, and we'll continue explaining it tomorrow.
Side note: We need to make sure to give them enough time to blog and take the survey each day.
